Planning Commission forwards recommendations to City Council
The Planning Commission heard from nearly 600 people on the Development Dialogue website in addition to in-person comments from those who attended three public open houses. Online and in-person comments were reviewed at a study session on October 25, 2017 and used to form the list of issues to address throughout the Development Dialogue process. Staff used this list, as well as individual public comments to guide research and recommendations that were further refined in additional study sessions beginning on November 15, 2017. Planning Commission public hearings, beginning March 21, 2018, included additional public comment as well as formation of the final recommendations considered by the City Council.
Open Houses
Thank you for the ideas and concerns you shared at our open houses, held Sept. 20, 21 and 27, 2017, as we started a community conversation about how Lakewood currently manages development and potential opportunities for change. Lakewood Planning Commission will consider all the public input received from the open houses during Study Sessions and discuss how to proceed in 2018.
