Safer pedestrian crossing at Kipling + 20th

My partner and I live on the east side of Kipling along 20th St. I commute almost daily west across Kipling to get the the Lakewood Library and when running recreationally. Though the walking commute is a short 5 minutes, I've seen the aftermath of two car crashes, multiple red lights being run, and on two occasions I've been feet from getting hit by unaware oncoming cars making left turns onto Kipling (today being the second time). This has been while I'm already halfway across the intersection (to the surprise of both the drivers and myself) and has been in just the past year since I've lived here. My partner avoids crossing this intersection unless she is in a car, even for short commutes. I love our home and the area we live, but this is the one aspect that makes me feel unsafe on a daily basis as a pedestrian. I see others regularly bike and walk this same route getting groceries from King Sooper's, going to the library, etc. Cross walk signals are long enough and predictable, but this intersection is just too busy and it is easy for drivers to overlook pedestrians who have the right of way. I would love an alternative to make this a safer intersection for both drivers and pedestrians who rely on it.

Bike path from Lakewood Estates neighborhood to the new park on Wadsworth. Especially need a bike path on the south side of Jewell street.

New Sidewalk - South Side of 26th, West of Tabor Street to connect to existing sidewalk near bus stop

This will allow the 10+ kids in the Jefferson Hills and surrounding neighborhoods to walk to Stober Elementary School without having to walk on busy 26th, or in the ditch. Also a number of neighbors walk along this portion of the road daily.
