Lakewood receives $1.5 million grant subaward from DRCOG
The City of Lakewood has received a $1.5 million grant subaward from the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) to support the development and implementation of an energy benchmarking program. The funding comes from DRCOG's $200 million Climate Pollution Reduction Grant implementation award from the EPA and does not require any city matching funds. The funds will allow staff to present a proposed energy benchmarking ordinance for City Council's consideration in early 2026.
