Balsam Pond Park

I really enjoyed watching all the birds at Balsam pond. There were so many magpies, everywhere! I sat on a cute bench and saw ducks, a heron, and a cormorant in addition to all the magpies. There was a distant mourning dove in the neighborhood.

I did not see any coyotes.

Meadowlark Park

What a delightful little family friendly park, with a steam running through the middle, a playground, and nice pavilion. There are sloping hills with large trees. While I didn't see or hear any meadowlarks, I heard black-capped chickadees and house finches. I watched dragonflies for a while.

Bonfils-Stanton Park - no sign

I like that Bonfils-Stanton is a walkable/bike-able park to get to from Belmar Park. It also has a cute little playground. I'm looking forward to visiting again in the fall, when it's a bit cooler.
