Learn about the city's parks

Visit the Parks List to see all the parks listed by name A-Z, and check out the map to see where each park is located. If you decide to visit all 114 parks, please keep in mind that 22 of the parks include new parkland, green spaces, and undeveloped parks that do not have permanent park signage or amenities and are not regularly checked for safety hazards.

Fun park fact
Named for a beloved veteran, commercial airline pilot and community member, James E. Harrison Park honors the former Tuskegee Airman because of his years of service to the Lakewood community. Harrison worked on the city's incorporation and led the Glennon Heights Homeowner's Association and the neighborhood watch program for many years prior to his death in 2010. Watch a video to learn more.
Try your hand at pickleball or tennis, and take advantage of the open field to fly a kite in this quiet retreat on South Simms Street in the Glennon Height neighborhood near West Alameda Avenue and Kipling Street.
