Reflections

Through the years, Addenbrooke Park has been a gathering place to meet with friends for a quick catch up or to just get some fresh air. In the last several years, it has served as a refreshing escape from my mundane work from home routine whenever I want a change of scenery. And what beautiful scenery it is. With digital devices and wireless earbuds in tow, I cycle to the park and settle near the mirrors by the fireplace. As I look at my reflection in the mirrors, I am inspired to find something new. Perhaps it is the fresh air that drives fresh thinking and opportunities to embrace something new into my life. On this warm Autumn day, I wonder if the Addenbrooke family would be in wonder and approve of how we are using their house and homestead.

Addenbrooke Every Day

When I was in college, running around Addenbrooke Park was a regular part of my daily routine. Now, 20 years later, having lived around the state and even internationally, I find myself back in Lakewood and running Addenbrooke every day again. I love the natural elements placed so intentionally: the water, the boulders, the cottonwoods and other foliage. But I also love the horse trail and the open space that enhance the union between nature and development.
