All fireworks are illegal in Lakewood except professional shows. That includes sparklers, Roman candles and smoke bombs.
Fines for illegal fireworks can reach $2,650.
Only use 911 to report fireworks in urgent cases of injury or fires that threaten life or property. To report fireworks to the Lakewood Police Department, call Jeffcom dispatch at 303-980-7300 or report online or via their smartphone app.
You can dispose of unwanted fireworks by following Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment regulations or by dropping them off at the West Metro Fire administration building (433 S. Allison Parkway, Lakewood CO 80226) during normal business hours.
