Park visitors may choose activities including picnicking, camping, fishing, boating, horseback riding, windsurfing, bird watching, mountain or road biking, enjoying the swim beach or taking aim at the archery range. Most importantly, the mission of Bear Creek Lake Park is environmental education and stewardship of the park’s natural resources with many educational programs and experiences available for visitors of all ages and abilities.

Bear Creek Lake Park

Managed by the City of Lakewood, the park is beginning a master plan process that will include an assessment of park visitor needs, an evaluation of park and building infrastructure, and design work for future park improvements. These will be packaged into an implementable action plan to serve visitors for the next decade. The city hired DHM Design to lead the projected 18-month planning effort which will include an extensive public engagement process with park visitors and stakeholders.
